Day 16 April 2nd

Notes from Chrissie the Guest Blogger:

Yesterday I was able to speak with a staff member from the National Visa Center. It is difficult to reach a live person, but when you finally do they are so nice. They think the paperwork should be logged in by this Friday. Of course the sooner the better. Keep praying for this log-in process to be done quickly. Please also pray that the paperwork that Crystal has hand carried with her will pass review at the Embassy and that the visa will be issued without delay or problems.

Today Crystal and Savannah- Hope stayed at home and rested. They did some chores, devotionals and exercised. The weather continues to be beautiful. Crystal was able to speak with her mom, Shane and the kids today. Yesterday she spoke to Nana. I was able to read Crystal all of the comments from the last post. She really gets encouraged by your comments and knowing that all of you are lifting her and her family up in prayer. Please keep the comments coming. She looks forward to them.

Heather holding Savannah-Hope. For those new to the blog. Heather is one of the staff children. She is the only young girl on the campus. She is adorable and follows Peace around everywhere. She is like a little shadow. I asked her if she wanted to come home with me and she said yes and waved good-bye to her father. He wasn't too keen on the idea.

This beautiful girl is Ida. She is feeling much better. She is battling AIDS. My heart breaks for this sweet girl.

Here is a picture of one of the school rooms. Reminds me of little house on the prairie.

Here is Savannah-Hope in eating a wagon wheel. Don't tell anybody that she is tied to the chair with one of her wraps.

Here are three young staff boys with one of the orphans (striped shirt in back) from the children's home. They are Nathaniel, Lil Junior, Junior and Jonathan.
Here is a sweet picture of Thandie, the director of Good Samaritan.

Here is Cristiana and Heather. They are the only two staff girls. All of the staff here joke that Brother Gentry has put something in the water because all of the staff have had boys. Lots of them. But no girls.

Just want you to know we are watching your trek and will be asking our church to pray at tonight's Bible study. Hang in there. You've come so far. Surely you will make it.

FINALLY some, I hope, good news!! I'll pray that the paperwork gets logged in on Friday.

I am so looking forward to seeing those pictures/video of you and Savannah at the airport when you come home.

Chrissie wrote me a very nice email (I had emailed her about concerns I had) and reminded me that God has seriously blessed your family and that I need to not lose sight of that. I cannot thank her enough; I do feel much better now that she said that.

I came here from your sister-in-law's blog. I have been following your journey with your new daughter. She is just beautiful and I can't wait to see pictures of her at home with all of her siblings and her Daddy! You and your family are in my prayers, that you stay safe and healthy and are able to travel home soon!

I've been praying for your adoption. Hold on and remember, the last puzzle pieces are sometimes the most difficult to finish, but the sweetest when they are completed!

Take care and know that your journey is prayed for. Safety and good health! :)
