Hope everyone is doing well. We are good but busy!School has started for me..hopefully my sanity will remain somewhat intact!!

laughter through tears is my favorite emotion!!

okay all you movie fans what movie is the title of this post from?? Anyway that is how the last couple days felt ..so here is a recap......................

1. I have been doing my clinical rotation all week I am tired, but I love it!!

2. Our first possible placement was a 1 year old special needs boy it came down to us and one other family and ultimately they were picked it seems their location is really close so they were able to keep his services (i.e speech, OT,PT) with the same therapists as well as having all the same doctors. We are the back-up family so it the placement should fail we would get him. This actually is a positive thing for him and I am so glad God provided a family for him.

3. The boys started karate..did great.

4. Tonight was the most time I have had with the kids all week so we surprised Mimi (for her birthday)with cake balloons and her favorite yellow roses all picked out by the fantastic four, then did some major cleaning, had ice cream and popcorn and lastly ended our night at 11pm after watching high school musical.

Hope everyone else has had a great week!!!!

Insane in the membrane

So this is what happens when you sit through two days of nursing orientation at the hospital. We learned today how to use the restraints when all other options had been exhausted and you need to keep your patient safe. I took the photo opportunity to establish that Jenia is crazy!! Actually the new job is FABULOUS so far!! I have gone by the nursery to look at the babies both days!! they are so cute and I can not wait to be a neonatal nurse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am exhausted though ..the training is 7:45 to 4:30 each day then coming home to four kids, laundry, baths dinner, dishes etc.. man am I ever thankful for being a stay at home mom!!! I have really missed the kids this week but they are enjoying spending time with Daddy and he is doing wonderful teaching.

A typical morning at the Johnson house

now a days consists of school.!! I LOVE home school so far and am amazed at how well the kids are doing. I know this was the right decision this year for us, even though there has been a bit of a transition time. The boys went Friday to their old school for a speech evaluation and got to see both their teachers from last year which they loved and a huge blessing they do qualify for speech so Friday I have a meeting with the school to work that all out. I start my orientation tomorrow as well as school this week so pray all goes well with both and homeschooling together I gotta change my schedule a little but I love having the kids home again all day!!

When a cute blonde gets in your bed....

what are you gonna do but take a picture? As I was up getting ready I returned to find Miss Bella had gotten up and dressed herself(sunglasses included) and got in our bed. As soon as I came out of the bathroom she said "Mom I got got your spot!" Clearly her daddy also thinks she is cute!! Gotta love being a mommy!! My spot is not the only thing I have lost most days it is my mind!!!

See post below!

Sunday at the Johnson's

Okay so the week has been a little crazy so I will try and catch everyone up on our week.

1. Wednesday all kids had dentist appointments (this was izabella's first) great check-up NO CAVITIES!!!! Zach and Zander will need pallet expander's in the next 6 months to a year..which we pretty much already knew they have been seeing the orthodontist who is keeping measurements on their mouths..they obviously got this small mouth problem from their daddy because we all know my mouth is BIG!!! this was followed by a night trip to the park where we ate pizza can youu guess the letter of the day!

*** tonight just before leaving for church I receive an e-mail from our adoption worker. This is a forward from an adoption worker in another state asking her to talk to us and see if we would like to be considered for a sibling set they have chosen our family to be presented against a few other families at a matching committee if we want to be presented..so after reading the narrative on them we talk and pray and our answer is yes!! please pray for these little people whether we get the honor of parenting them or God blesses another family for them obviously they need a home TOGETHER!!

2. Thursday I go to the hospital where I start work on the 20Th for a health screening (with Izabella) and get poked a couple of times and pee in a cup all while being incessantly questioned by my observant toddler!! My tire is flat upon leaving so I put air in and head to walmart who takes in the van then tells me it will take 2 hours!! yay so we explore every aisle of walmart until we are by the grace of God ready to go in just under 2 hours..1pm and no lunch we meet Shane and the kids at McDonald's for a little family time before he leaves for work. Upon arriving home we have a play date with a friend of a mine who we have barely seen this summer so the kids are so excited as am I. The phone has messages our worker has left a message we are being considered for a 2 year old boy whose matching process will take place on august 22!! Wow now in two days we could have one, some or no children in the next 30 days. On august 24 there is a matching committee on a 1 year ol boy we knew about a couple of weeks now with some pretty significant special needs. I have been pretty selective on sharing all this information, but I feel like I need to share so we can all pray. Not everyone thinks us adopting again is great because we have a houseful so I have just kinda not shared too much there was no addition yet so why upset them, but I am not here to make things easier on them God is calling me to parent one or more of his remarkable creations and I am so excited that I can not withhold sharing our future plans to grow our family. Please pray for each of these children again we may not be picked for any of them but they all still need their forever families.

3. Friday morning I wake up to a Zander saying Mom, my ear really hurts inside!! 8 am we head to the doctor yep it is his FIRST ear infection! She listens to Izabella who is barking and decides she is wheezing and needs to up the breathing treatment to 3X's a day then check back in on Monday. So we come home and get out breather and an antibiotic (for Zander) then continue on to the splashpark where our friends are already there and they play a little over an hour the heat index is 107 (miserable) so the kids and moms decide we will come back to my house for lunch and we had a great time visiting, after a short nap for some of us we head off to the drive in movie and see underdog and hairspray!!The first is fantastic a great family movie and the other is good but not as family friendly. When we get ready to leave our van will not start (oops turned it on wrong to hear the movie!) We get a jump start and 10 min later we are heading home.

4. Saturday the kids and I clean house and run a couple of errands while Shane goes out with a friend from work to have some guys time. I go to work at 7pm but they are overstaffed so I return home via Gwen picks me up then meets Shane and it is 10pm by he time we actually get home!! I am now now coughing and junky and my body aches I have got the kids crudd!! I go to bed and cough all night.

5. Sunday morning and were up and off to church this is the first Sunday since living in Tennessee that I did not have one single child in the preschool hallway. The boys officially went up to soul station 1st-5Th grade and Izabella went to the pre-k which is now in the fellowship hall. I must say it was weird and a little sad but we got to park on the other side of the church which is not as busy. :) After church Shane had lunch ready, then we headed out to the YMCA where we worked out and then swam, ran to aldi's, then home to cook dinner. Now I am trying to catch up here in blogger land, Izabella is taking her breathing treatment and hopefully in the next 3 hours I will be in bed!!

Side note-Please pray for Chrissie she leaves for Malawi tomorrow with lots of supplies we want her especially but also the supplies to get there safe. We love you Aunt Chrissie

Have a great Monday!!

My family members have decided to run as well so maybe I will be doing two marathons we will see how it goes..as you all know I am athletically challenged..Brandi is already up to 4 miles and Gwen starts monday!! 21 year old check-ups....

or just three 7 year old check-ups. Here are the kids at their check-up last week I have just been too busy to post. They all looked great and weighed in fantastic. They had to get two shots each..YUCK but they took it like a man (or two) and a woman. Izabella took good notes for her check up next month, but her very bright mother did not let her watch the shots!! LOL she also gets two and then done for a bit, whew hew!!! man they are getting big so fast! And I am getting old so fast!!
