Today Mrs. Miller, Crystal and Savannah-Hope were going to Thandie's home village to meet Thandie's mom and grandmother. Unfortunately Thandie's cousin died last night, so they weren't able to go. His funeral will be tomorrow.
Later Lloyd took a trip to town to get a few supplies. This was Crystal and Mrs. Miller's first time going to Malawi's new store called "Game". This store is based in South Africa and now has 71 locations in different countries in southern Africa. It is the closest thing to Walmart they have in Malawi. The items are pretty pricey. Most of the people who shop there are foreign visitors.Crystal bought some diapers for Savannah-Hope. Then they headed to a DVD store in Malawi that is ironically called "blockbuster". Crystal couldn't find any children's DVD, but was able to get "Sweet Home Alabama" for herself. She is hoping it works because it is a different format then what we have in the US and the DVD player is American.
After returning back home Thandie notified Crystal that one of the teachers at Good Samaritan passed away. Mrs. Makocho was the 4th grade teacher and died of Tuberculosis (same disease that took Savannah-Hope's bio mother). Her funeral will be tomorrow.
Paperwork Update: The paperwork left South Africa at 8am today. The window has officially closed for a return trip on Monday April 14th. We are still hoping that Crystal will be able to leave Malawi on the 16th or 17th....we won't have another update on the paperwork until Monday. Thanks for continuing to pray regarding this issue.
Update on possible flights home: For those of you planning on greeting Mrs. Miller, Crystal and Savannah-Hope at the Nashville airport, there are two dates and times you may want to pencil into your calendar. Now please note that these are subject to change...but they are being held as our two most likely return options. Neither one of these options can be booked until Crystal has obtained Savannah-Hope's adoption visa. Please pray that these flights stay open as they are only "held" not "booked". We had a flight "held" for April 20th but the airline cancelled it because we couldn't book it and they needed the tickets for someone else.
Option A: Arrive in Nashville Friday 4/18 at 9:35am
Option B: Arrive in Nashville Tuesday 4/22 at 9:35am

Here are some cute jokes for you and Mrs. Miller.
A new pastor was visiting the homes of his parishioners.
At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door. Therefore, he took out a card and wrote "Revelation 3:20" on the back of it and stuck it in the door.
When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, Genesis 3:10."
Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter.
Revelation 3:20 begins "Behold, I stand at the door and knock." Genesis 3:10 reads, "I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid, for I was naked."
A Sunday school teacher was giving her class the assignment for the next week.
"Next Sunday," she said, "we are going to talk about liars, and in preparation for the lesson, I want you all to read the Seventeenth Chapter of Mark."
The following week at the beginning of the class, the teacher said, "Now all who have prepared for today’s lesson by reading the Seventeenth Chapter of Mark, please come to the front." Half the class stood up and came forward.
"The rest of you may leave," said the teacher, "these students are the ones I want to talk speak to. There is no Seventeenth Chapter in the Book of Mark!"
A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though they were a very large mammal their throat was very small.
The little girl stated Jonah was swallowed by a whale.
The teacher reiterated a whale could not
swallow a human; it was impossible.
The little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah."
The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to hell?"
The little girl replied, "Then you ask him."
At Sunday school they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings. Little Johnny seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam's ribs.
Later in the week his mother noticed him lying down as though he were ill, and said, Johnny what is the matter? Little Johnny responded, "I have a pain in my side. I think I'm going to have a wife."
A young woman teacher with obvious liberal tendencies explains to her class of small children that she is an atheist. She asks her class if they are atheists too. Not really knowing what atheism is but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands explode into the air like fleshy fireworks.
There is, however, one exception. A beautiful girl named Lucy has not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different.
"Because, I'm not an atheist."
Then, asks the teacher, "What are you?"
"I'm a Christian."
The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks Lucy why she is a Christian.
"Well, I was brought up knowing and loving Jesus. My mom is a Christian, and my dad is a Christian, so I am a Christian."
The teacher is now angry. "That's no reason," she says loudly.
"What if your mom was an idiot and your dad was an idiot. What would you be then?"
Lucy paused, smiled and said, "Then, I'd be an atheist!"

If a man yells in the woods and no woman hears him, is he
still wrong?
Why did God create men first?
Because we learn from mistakes.
A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment.
Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight.
Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM." He left it where he knew she would find it.
The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight.
Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM, Wake up."
Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests. God may have created man before woman, but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece.
How are men like mascara?
Any sign of emotion and they're running!
Once upon a time there were three sisters, ages 92, 94 and 96, and they all lived together.
One night the 96 year old ran a bath. She put one foot in and paused. "Was I getting in the tub or out?" she yelled.
The 94 year old hollered back, "I don't know. I'll come and see." She started up the stairs and stopped. She shouted, "Was I going up or coming down?"
The 92 year old sitting at the kitchen table having tea, listening to her sister’s shook her head and said, "I sure hope I never get that forgetful," and knocked on wood for good measure.
Then she yelled, "I'll come up and help both of you as soon as I see who's at the door."
Two elderly women were out driving in a large car, both women barely large enough to see over the dashboard.
As they cruised along, they came to an intersection. The stoplight was red, but they just went right on through.
The woman in the passenger seat thought to herself, "I must be losing it, I could have sworn we just went through a red light."
After a few more minutes, they came to another intersection, the light was red, and again they went right through.
This time, the passenger was almost sure that the light had been red, but was also concerned that she might be seeing things.
She was getting nervous, and decided to pay very close attention.
At the next intersection, sure enough, the light was definitely red, and they went right through it.
She turned to the other woman and said, "Mildred! Did you know we just ran through three red lights in a row? You could have killed us!"
Mildred turned to her and said,
"Oh my goodness! Am I driving?

4. Honey, does this outfit make my butt look too small?
3. Aww, don't stop for directions, I'm sure you'll be able to figure out how to get there.

Why did God create man before woman?
He didn't want any advice!
A man was in his front yard mowing grass when his beautiful, blond, female neighbor came out of the house and went straight to the mailbox.
She opened it, looked inside, slammed it shut, and stormed back into her house.
A little later she came out of her house again, went to the mailbox, again opened it, and slammed it shut again. Angrily, back into the house she went.
As the man was getting ready to edge the lawn, here she came again. She marched to the mailbox, opened it and then slammed it closed harder than ever.
Puzzled by her actions, the man asked her, "Is something wrong?"
To which she replied, "There certainly is! My stupid computer keeps telling me I've got mail!"
The Anderson family just moved into their new home when a neighbor asked 5-year-old Tommy Anderson how he liked it.
“It’s great,” Tommy said. “I have my very own room and my brother Alex has his own room, and Jamie has her own room too! But poor mom, she is still with dad…”
Love you.

I am so sorry you did not make the flight you'd been in hopes of Crystal and Savannah:( But,I believe God knows exactly why you are where you are! He will not leave you!!
I must share with you, that since this is the second mention of tuberculosis and the second life it has taken, I will share I am so moved by this. These young women, mothers...gone from a disease which is readily curable. How do I know this....both of my daughters who were born and adopted while in China came home and after testing tested positive for TB...my one daughter was 10 months old and the other 5 years old...they were in very, very early stages...diagnosed with and xray and not showing in their little lungs....but, if still in China and untreated would surely be these women!!! What do we do here in U.S. to treat children with TB, upon diagnosis and chest xray, if not present in the lungs an antibiotic is given orally for 9 months...if within the lungs it is a different treatment, but, I believe still in the antibiotic family....if, out of the lungs and present in the body...and here I am still not 100% sure, as we did not have to face this journey, a heavy duty antibiotic is given...and our Dr. explained so much easier to treat in babies/children...but, still tuberculosis is curable.
We must remember these loving men and women...our childrens birth Moms and Dads...brothers and sisters...who are leaving the earth journey...haven given greatly of themselves.
I am once again humbled by your journey, Crystal, and I think of you an SH so many times through out my day. I am touched by your sharing of the lives that are loosing their battle here on earth...many for a situation out of their hands, but, surely not out of God's or ours.....thank you for being a Witness!!!
Love, much Love,
Diane...Mama to Joe, Jen, Jana Mei, Jadyn Hua and JOY Hua

Hi Honey,
I have taken out a loan and I am paying a very big guy to be my personal bounce at the airport. He said he could take out a girl that try’s to out run a sweet mother-in-law like me. So if she try’s to run me down or pass me up Poppy is going to trip her and my bouncer guy is going to sit on her. So now that that is taken care of I am ready for some sweet suggies from you both.
I am truly blessed by being your mom. I can see the sweet heart of Jesus in all that you do. I am so glad that I have grown in my walk with Jesus in the wonderful senior years of my life. It is so much more fun and joyous to see the blessing in life than to sit around feeling like I have been done in by my pass decisions. I love to se my heat smile with laughter when I see thing thru my heart than with my eyes, I truly learned that from my children. Please always remember that you sometimes learn more from your children than anyone else in your path. Enjoy all the little things in life as you live day by day because they will become your memories when you are older. If I need a good laugh I have some thing I just play over in my mind as I turn on the old VHS Tapes in my Head. You can put yours on DVD’S you head is of a more modern times. One is the panties thing and getting a man. One is of course the water slide. And of I can forget you telling Darrell and Nana if they wanted to spank you they had to call me at work 1st. Darrell fell for it but not Nana. I have so may more one of these day I will help you put some of mine on your DVD’S to save in your head to share with your children when I am to old to know they are laughing at me and not with me.
Well when I read about the times at the airport I was so at peace with Thursday. I will have that day off to just enjoy seeing my Johnson’s all together and see God’s smile as he admires his plan as it come full circle. I know he knew Savannah-Hope was going to be ours before we did. He must smile so big when his perfect plans come together. We much remember who is in charge and try not to step on him as we go ahead to make thing work our way and not his. My sweet darling daughters please just rest in the arms of our sweet Lord and Savior Jesus until you are back in our arms here in Smyrna. When I read about all the lives your story has touched and I know there are so many more I can’t help but be so proud of you. I know you belong to God, but I am so grateful he gave me to have as a daughter just so I could be blessed.
I am off to bed I have to work tomorrow and we have bowling tomorrow night. J-Man is spending the night tomorrow so he can go bowling with the kids.
See you soon. And remember you are covered in our prayers. You have one amazing husband. He is to good to be true. He has done the most wonderful job while you have been gone. I know why God put the two of you together so your children will be so blessed.
Love & Kisses
