I am sorry to miss your birthday my sweet girl. I know you will have a great time with Daddy and Mimi and Poppy today. I will celebrate your special day with you as soon as I get home. I am praying and asking God everyday to send me home soon so we can be together again. I love you so much my sweet angel.
*****Notes from day 21*****
Today I went to the Internet cafe and sent a few new pictures. I am so grateful that it worked, but its hard not to get frustrated by how ridiculous it is that it takes over an hour and a bunch of money to send 4 pictures. But it helps me to know that you and my family can see our pictures and know that we are safe and healthy.
Today was the first day I left Savannah-Hope since she was placed in my arms. She stayed at home with Mrs. Miller while I ran a couple errands. It really is much safer for her to be at home. By faith I purchased several supplies for Savannah-Hope's biological family. I used my "getting home" money so I am trusting that those of you who committed to send funds will be faithful. I was able to get a skirt and shirt for each grandmother, worm medicine for most of the children in the village, and some shoes for the father. Tomorrow we will get the father's bicycle and some washing buckets.
I also went to the vital statistics office to take care of some birth certificate issues.
Still no word that my paperwork has arrived to the embassy from the National Visa Center. Please continue to pray that it gets there quickly. I really want to come home this weekend. I don't know how much longer my heart can take being separated from Shane and my four other children. Please also pray that my paperwork will pass review. If it is questioned I will have to go to Johannesburg South Africa, which would be another huge delay. I know that every time God answers a prayer I am asking you to pray about something else. But I believe that is how the Lord is getting me through this journey one step at a time. One answered prayer after another. Thank you for rejoicing with us as each prayer is answered.
Here I am with Thandie (orphanage director) and Sweet Savannah.
Here is Savannah-Hope in her first Malawian wrap and head piece.
Here is a picture of Mrs. Miller with Thandie and Peace at Thandie's graduation. I could not have made it this far without the support of Mrs. Miller. Please don't forget to lift her up in prayer. She has been such a tremendous source of strength and support for me and Savannah-Hope.
Here is my cutie-pie crawling and getting ready to stand.

Happy Birthday Amy!!! It seems like just yesterday that Chrissie was taking you on a big air plane to meet your forever family. What a gift from God you are.
Love all the photos Crystal. We are praying that all the paperwork falls into place and that you will be home very soon. Love to you and Savannah Hope.

Happy Birthday Amy. Continuing to pray for your family. It is very frustrating when God's timing doesn't seem to make sense to us, but I know that His timing is PERFECT. What a nice added blessing it will be to look back over your extra time in Malawi, and see what God wanted you to be there for. Thank you for letting us in on this wonderful journey.

Hi Crystal:)
I sit here in awe with each day that passes. The strength you seem to have within you is such a Gift!!
Your baby girl, Savannah Hope continues to make me smile!!!
Praying here,
Diane
I'm praying over here, also. It's so nice to put a face to the name now, regarding Mrs. Miller. God bless you all.
We don't even know each other, but I am a friend/aquaintence of Gwen's in Nashville, with a passel full of kids, including one adopted from China. I have to say, your daughter has got to be the most precious little thing I've ever seen on the face of the planet!!! I'm green with envy! And I'm praying for you being an ocean away from your daughter on her eighth birthday. It will all be worthwhile when you bring her home your little Malawian souvineer!
Blessings!

You and Savannah are in my prayers and on my mind. Stay safe. I want you to know how I brave I think you are. I also believe that there is a divine reason that you are still there.
