Our BIG baby girl!

Savannah-Hope had a well child exam today (10/23/07). I just love saying her name and "well child" in the same sentence!

Getting shots. Aww poor baby!

Savannah-Hope weighed in today at 10 lbs 8oz. She has gained 6lbs and 2oz in 7 weeks! I have to add here that I guessed her weight....a mommy knows.....even from a distance.
Other Savannah-Hope news: She is now loving her baths. She used to scream and cry, now she relaxes and plays. This past Sunday evening her little tummy was distended and she was feeling constipated. Thandie was considering taking her to the doctor the next day if she didn't have a #2. Then during her bath, she had a #2 surprise in the bathtub! Thandie said that she and the girls just laughed and laughed. Savannah felt so much better after her bath!
Savannah has also gotten some "fat dents". Her first fat dent was on her right wrist and now she has one on her left wrist and in her diaper area. When she first was brought to Good Samaritan, her skin was so loose and full of wrinkles. When Thandie was sharing about the "fat dents" in her diaper area, Savannah got a very serious look on her face as if she were trying to say "hey, you're sharing my secrets, is nothing private?". God has blessed our sweet baby in such an amazing way. Savannah-Hope is also trying to grab Thandie's cell phone when she is talking on it and gets very mad when people are eating around her, if she's not eating. She doesn't want to be left out....and she loves to eat! Is this child a Johnson, or what! Savannah-Hope is still on a mostly formula diet with baby cereal once, sometimes twice a day. She will probably start veggies in a couple weeks when she is 6 months old.
With every story I hear about my sweet baby, my heart floods with conflicting emotions. I'm so grateful she is thriving and doing well, but broken hearted that I am not there with her to share in the joy of each new milestone. Everyday our other children grow more and more attached to Savannah-Hope, making all kinds of plans....but everyday Savannah-Hope is still so far away. Please continue to pray with our family for a quick homecoming for our sweet Savannah-Hope. And please join us in Praising the Lord for what He has already done for Savannah-Hope and our family! Ten and a half pounds! What a miracle!
