Just pray!!

So Tuesday I am watching Amy dance from the little doorway when one of her classmates catches my eye she looks sad.:( I have noticed her before cause she is so cute but her eyes are so sad. Anyway I catch her glance and she has tears rolling down her face, so I asked her where is you mom(thinking I would go get her because she was sad) at this point she looks at me and says "I don't have a mama" my heart sinks, so I hug her and said I will find who you came with. I finally find an older lady sitting on the bench and I ask if she brought her she tells me "yes I am raising her she is my GREAT granddaughter" then for 20 minutes tells me the story of how she got custody. The parents gave her to an adoption agency 3 different times and just before their time was up legally they went back and got her this went on until she was three. At that point the parents decided they still did not want her so to keep her from going to strangers in the foster care system the great grandma took her. She told me five years ago she really thought she could do this but if she could go back she would not have taken her. She loves her so much but she said she is so tired and has had to go back to work to support her, and she wants little kids to play with and brothers and sisters. She says her worst fear now is she will not make it until she is 18 and she will go back to her parents or in foster care as a teen. As I listened to this stranger tell me her story my heart broke over and over again for her and the child. I wanted to just bring her home and keep her for my own and let her great grandmother just be her great grandmother not her caregiver. As she finished this story I told her we would love to help her in any way we could and I have just prayed for this family ever since. I told her about Amy coming to our family forever at age 3, and she was so amazed with her story and that we are adopting again. I told her what a huge blessing adoption has been to our family and about all my nieces as well. As she got out in the cold that night with her sweet little girl tears just streamed down my face for a wonderful lady who has given up her life to care for this little girl and for this sweet angel who desperately wants a mommy and daddy!! I am going to try and find ways to help her by letting her come play with the kids and giving grandma a break but I need to establish a relationship with her first over the next few classes. Please just pray for this family I know this happens alot and there are millions of kids who want mommies and daddies but this one is tangible for me and I just wanted to hug her forever this week. I am so thankful to God for the treasures that are Amelia, Savannah-hope, Emily, Maggie and Miranda. These little girls also needed a family and I am so grateful God chose us for this job.
