We are praising the Lord today that we had a safe trip to Memphis. The children were wonderful! We made it in time, which was a huge blessing since there was terrible traffic due to the destruction left by yesterday’s tornadoes. We passed by so many homes and vehicles that had been destroyed. We saw a highchair on the interstate along with other baby items. Each fallen tree and piece of debris was a reminder of how blessed we are.
The meeting with immigration:
Mimi and the children went to McDonalds while walked up to the class window and handed a lady my info pass. She disappeared for a few minutes and came back to say that my case has NOW been assigned to Officer Cox and we should expect a response in the next two weeks. I was not able to talk to Officer Cox directly. I informed the lady behind the glass that three weeks ago we were told to except a response in two weeks. The lady wasn’t interested in hearing my sob story or seeing pictures of Savannah. Her only explanation for the delay was that all the officers have been in training and/or sick. This is the first day in two weeks that an officer was actually in the office.
Prayer request:
Please join me in prayer for Officer Cox. Please pray that God would:
1. Lay a heavy burden on her heart for Savannah-Hope
2. give our family favor in her eyes
3. motivate her to review and approve our paperwork quickly
4. prevent her from asking for another addendum
5. mail the approved form now

glad you're back safe and sound. that's a load a CRAP that "they've been in training and/or sick"...you know what to do? in two weeks, if the letter hasn't arrived yet (I AM PRAYING THAT IT DOES), I know it's a long drive and it takes a lot out of you..but i would haul my butt back to memphis...i konw you don't want to irritate them to death, but if you're "in their faces", they'll know (hopefully) that this child is real and she IS YOURS - and tell them that the people in Africa have already given you all "custody" of her. I'm sure you know and have done this, but i'm just sending a (hopefully) nice reminder. Please keep us all posted as you get word of anything.
love ya
praying praying praying ... and knowing that the Lord has her safe ... so glad you are all home safely!
Wow! I am so sorry. Those people need Jesus! We will continue to pray! Hang in there. Love you girl!
I am praying that your paperwork comes quickly, and that you will be able to bring your precious daughter home soon.
Praying for a swift response! Love you guys!
Thanking God for your safe trip, and lifting Savannah Hope before the Lord. He is taking care of her.

prayers from Brenda too...what a scary time after the tornadoes and then seeing the aftermath...glad to hear you are back home safe :)
I am glad that you made it there and spoke with someone. I will continue to pray. Hang in there.
I am so sorry. I can only imagine how heart wrenching it is. I will lift you and your beautiful daughter up in prayer.... God is bigger than the paperwork and all the red tape. Hang in there.
Glad you had a safe trip.
Praying hard that the paperwork comes asap. Gotta "love" our government in action sometimes.
Hey! I just read all of your blogs and they are so heart touching. I have been praying for your family ever since you told me in church that you guys would be adopting. I am glad you had a safe trip to and from Memphis and I bet it was hard to see all the destruction. My grandparents live in Memphis and they said it was the worst thing that has happened to them in years.
the pictures of Savannah-hope are beautiful. she is one lucky girl and she will be going to a wonderful family. keep me updated on the progress and give Amy, Zach, and Zander a hug for me. I miss them
